Pella Lifestyle Series Replacement Windows — Glass Picked Room by Room

You want wood windows inside without paying for Pella's top line, and you would rather spend on quiet glass in the bedroom than on every window in the house.

Reply within one business day. Or call / text 763-204-2099.

Pella Lifestyle Series replacement windows are Pella's mid-priced wood line: pine interiors, aluminum-clad exteriors, and glass you can upgrade only in the rooms that need it. JMB Builders measures every opening, confirms the line with our ABC Supply branch before the quote is final, and installs across the Twin Cities. Priced per opening. Send photos and we reply within one business day, or book a free in-home estimate.

  • Priced per opening, glass listed per window
  • Pine interior, clad exterior
  • Supply confirmed with ABC before the quote is final
Installer setting a new window into an exterior wall opening

The Lifestyle Series is Pella's most popular wood window. Inside it is pine: unfinished, primed, or factory-finished in Pella's paints and stains. Outside it is aluminum cladding in Pella's Lifestyle palette, which includes black, white, brown and several grays and tans. Styles cover double-hung, casement, awning, sliding, picture, bay and bow, and specialty shapes, with matching sliding and hinged patio doors.

What sets it apart is the glass. Pella sells four triple-pane packages: Performance, Energy Efficiency (adds AdvancedComfort Low-E), Sound Control (mixed glass thicknesses) and Ultimate Performance (both). Pella says triple-pane Lifestyle units earned ENERGY STAR Most Efficient and that its triple-pane design averages 52% less noise than single-pane. You do not have to buy the same package everywhere. A street-side bedroom can get Sound Control, the north wall Energy Efficiency, and the porch window the standard glass.

Supply, plainly: Lifestyle is sold through Pella showrooms, Pella Pro dealers and Lowe's, and we have not confirmed that our ABC Supply branch orders it. We confirm the line with our ABC branch before the quote is final. If it cannot be ordered there, you can buy the windows and we install them, or we price a line the branch carries. We are an installer, not a Pella dealer.

Photos (optional)

Up to 3: one wide shot of the area, one close-up of the opening or trim, one of anything you're unsure about.

How do you want your quote?

Free, no obligation. Every quote is written and itemized, so you can compare it line by line.

What you supply

  • Interior finish: unfinished, primed or a Pella factory paint or stain
  • Exterior color from Pella's current Lifestyle palette
  • Glass package for each room, and which windows get between-the-glass blinds or shades
  • Grille pattern, hardware finish and screen type
  • A signed order sheet before the order goes in

What JMB supplies

  • One in-person measure of every opening before anything is ordered
  • A line-item quote by opening, glass package written on each line
  • A check with our ABC Supply branch that the line can be ordered
  • One order, so color, finish and grilles match through the house
  • Full-frame or pocket (insert) install, per opening, with sill pan and sealant
  • Floor and furniture covers; no opening left open overnight
  • Interior stops or casing and exterior trim
  • Haul-away of the old windows; painting as its own line if you want it

How it is priced: per opening

Quoted in writing from your photos, with a reply within one business day. What moves the number:

  • Window style and size, including bays and specialty shapes
  • Standard glass or one of the four triple-pane packages, per opening
  • Between-the-glass blinds or shades on the units that get them
  • Factory-finished interior versus unfinished or primed pine
  • Full frame versus pocket (insert) install
  • Siding, stucco or brick at the opening
  • Second-floor access

Tell us which rooms face a street or a north wind. That is where the glass packages are worth pricing, and the quote shows each choice by opening.

How long it takes

Lead time depends on the brand and is written on the quote. Pocket installs run faster than full frame; we give a day count per room at the estimate.

Situations and options

Sound Control in bedrooms

Mixed glass thicknesses in a triple-pane unit. It goes on windows facing a busy road or a neighbor's driveway, and the quiet rooms keep the standard or energy package.

Energy package on the cold walls

Triple-pane with AdvancedComfort Low-E, which Pella recommends for the Northern climate. A common order is the north and west sides, or the whole house when the budget allows.

Blinds or shades between the glass

Pella offers blinds and shades sealed between the panes on this line. They make sense over a kitchen sink or in a kids' room. The quote marks which units carry them.

Pocket install on select styles

Pella lists pocket (insert) replacement on select Lifestyle styles. It keeps the interior casing when the old frame is sound. Full frame is used where the sill or frame is rotted.

Pella Lifestyle Series Replacement Windows — Glass Picked Room by Room: questions, answered

Is the Pella Lifestyle Series real wood?

Yes, inside. The frame and sash are pine, and the outside is covered in aluminum cladding so it does not need paint. The pine can come unfinished, primed or factory-finished in a Pella paint or stain.

Which Pella Lifestyle glass package should I pick for Minnesota?

Pella recommends AdvancedComfort Low-E for the Northern climate, and its Energy Efficiency package puts that in triple-pane. Sound Control is for noise, and Ultimate Performance does both. You can put different packages in different rooms, and the quote lists each opening's glass.

Can I get blinds between the glass in Pella Lifestyle windows?

Pella offers between-the-glass blinds and shades on the Lifestyle Series. They suit kitchens, bathrooms and kids' rooms where a hanging blind gets wrecked. We price them only on the openings where you want them, so the rest of the house keeps standard glass.

Do you sell Pella Lifestyle windows?

We are an installer, not a Pella dealer. Pella sells the Lifestyle Series through its showrooms, Pella Pro dealers and Lowe's, and we confirm the line with our ABC Supply branch before the quote is final. If our branch cannot order it, you can buy them and we install them.

Is a Pella Lifestyle double hung a good replacement for old wood double hungs?

It is a common swap because it keeps wood inside. Where the old frame and sill are sound, a pocket install on select styles can keep the interior casing. Where the sill is rotted, we go full frame and the quote says so for that opening.

How long does a Pella Lifestyle window order take?

The lead time depends on the brand and the options, and it is written on the quote. Factory finishes and triple-pane packages can change it. Nothing is ordered until every opening has been measured in person.
