Encompass by Pella windows installed throughout the house: JMB Builders measures every opening, orders the Encompass vinyl windows through ABC Supply in one order, and installs them room by room across the Twin Cities metro and north to St. Cloud. It is Pella's most affordable line. Priced per window, each opening listed. Photos get a reply within one business day, and the in-home estimate is free.
- Priced per window, each opening listed
- Pella's entry vinyl line, supplied by JMB
- White, Almond or Fossil frames

Encompass by Pella is Pella's entry vinyl window, sold through Pella Pro dealers and supply houses rather than store aisles. It has precision-welded vinyl frames, Low-E insulating glass with argon, and solid White, Almond or Fossil frames with the color running through the vinyl. It is a common choice for a whole house on a set budget, for rental buildings and for a house being readied for sale.
It is a narrower line than the 250 Series. Encompass covers single-hung, double-hung, sliding, picture and fixed shapes, plus a sliding patio door. There is no casement or awning in the line, and it is dual-pane only. Not every color is offered on every style either; the single-hung, for example, lists White and Almond. We check each opening against the line at the measure. If a kitchen needs a casement, we show the option of a 250 Series casement for that one opening, and confirm the color will match.
The install is what makes a budget window last. Each opening gets a sill pan, flashing tape, low-expansion foam and sealant, the same as any window we set.

What you supply
- One frame color for the house, checked against the styles you need
- A decision on openings Encompass does not cover, such as casements
- Grille pattern, if any
- Access to each room, and tenants notified when it is a rental
What JMB supplies
- In-person measure of every opening, with style and color checked against the Encompass line
- A quote listing each window by room, size, style, install type and trim
- One order through ABC Supply so frames and glass match
- Floor and furniture protection in each room
- Room-by-room install with each opening closed the same day
- Sill pan, flashing tape, foam and sealant at every opening
- Interior casing or returns and exterior trim as quoted; painting as a separate line
- Old windows hauled away; photos of every finished opening in your job folder
How it is priced: per window
Quoted in writing from your photos, with a reply within one business day. What moves the number:
- Number of windows and their sizes
- Insert into the old frame or full-frame replacement
- Openings that need a different Pella line, such as a casement
- Interior trim: new casing, a drywall return, or stops only
- Exterior trim or capping and the siding type around each opening
- Rot at sills found at the measure
- Occupied rentals that need tenant scheduling
A photo of each window from inside and outside, labeled by room or unit, is enough for a first number.
How long it takes
Lead time depends on the brand and is written on the quote. Most houses are installed over several working days, room by room.

Encompass by Pella Windows Installed — Whole House on a Budget: questions, answered
What is the difference between Encompass by Pella and the Pella 250 Series?
Encompass is Pella's entry vinyl line: welded frames, Low-E argon glass, three colors and the most common styles. The 250 Series adds casements and awnings, more colors, and optional foam frames and triple-pane glass. We can price the house both ways on one quote.
Does Encompass by Pella come in a casement window?
Pella's Encompass line lists single-hung, double-hung, sliding, picture and fixed shapes, not casements or awnings. Where an opening needs a casement, we show you the option of a casement from another Pella line and check that the frame color matches.
Are Encompass by Pella windows good enough for a Minnesota winter?
They are dual-pane Low-E with argon, the way a basic vinyl window is built. For Northern-zone numbers or triple-pane, the 250 Series is the step up. The install matters as much as the window: a sill pan, tape and foam at every opening keeps drafts and water out.
Can you put Encompass windows in every unit of my duplex or fourplex?
Yes, from duplexes to apartment buildings of five or more units. The quote lists each window by unit and room, so you can phase by unit. We schedule around tenants and close every opening the same day it is opened. On buildings of five or more units we check the city's licensing and permit rules before we bid.
Who orders the Encompass windows?
We do. JMB Builders orders Encompass through ABC Supply, which Pella lists as a seller of the line, and confirms the lead time before the quote is final. We are an independent installer, not a Pella dealer.
Can I get an in-home estimate for Encompass by Pella windows?
Yes, it is free. We measure every opening, check each against the Encompass styles and colors, and write the line-item quote. If you would rather start with photos, send one of each window and we reply within one business day.
