ProVia Signet Fiberglass Entry Door Replacement, Made to Order

You want a front door that reads as stained wood up close and does not need refinishing every few summers.

Reply within one business day. Or call / text 763-204-2099.

ProVia Signet fiberglass entry door replacement starts with three picks: the woodgrain series, the stain and the glass. JMB Builders measures the opening in person, orders the Signet door made to that opening, then removes the old door and frame and installs the new unit across the Twin Cities metro and north to St. Cloud. Priced per door. Send photos for a reply within one business day, or book a free in-home estimate.

  • Priced per door, Signet door included
  • Made to order for your opening
  • Five woodgrain series, seven stains each
New tan double casement beside the front entry, brick column and brown lap siding

Signet is the door ProVia built its name on, and ProVia sells it as its premium fiberglass line. The skins carry a molded grain in five series: Cherry, Mahogany, Oak, Fir and Knotty Alder, each with seven stain colors. Smooth skins are offered for paint. ProVia stains the door with its DuraFuse seven-step process and two oven-cured clear coats, so the finish arrives done.

Inside the slab is a polyurethane foam core filled by machine, with wood stiles dovetailed into the rails. Glass is ProVia's ComforTech warm-edge glazing in dual- or triple-pane packages, and the door can be ordered with sidelites, a transom, decorative or privacy glass and a multipoint lock. Every Signet door is built to the opening, so the measure has to be right before the order goes in.

ProVia sells through dealers and building-supply distributors, never home centers. ProVia is on ABC Supply's entry door list; we confirm the Signet line with our ABC branch before the quote is final. On install day the old door comes out, the sill is checked for rot, a pan goes down, and the new unit is set, foamed, sealed, cased and locked before we leave.

Three photos and a sentence is enough: a reply within one business day, or ask for a free in-home estimate. Or text the photos to 763-204-2099.

Photos (optional)

Up to 3: one wide shot of the area, one close-up of the opening or trim, one of anything you're unsure about.

How do you want your quote?

Free, no obligation. Every quote is written and itemized, so you can compare it line by line.

What you supply

  • Woodgrain series and stain color, or a smooth skin and paint color
  • Door style, glass and whether you want sidelites or a transom
  • Lockset or multipoint lock, and hardware finish
  • Photos of the door from both sides and a close-up of the sill

What JMB supplies

  • In-person measure of the opening, jamb width and swing before the order
  • The Signet door ordered made to that opening
  • A quote with the door, the install and any rot repair on separate lines
  • Removal and haul-away of the old door, frame and threshold
  • Sill pan, flashing tape, shims, low-expansion foam, backer rod and sealant
  • Threshold, strike and weatherstrip adjusted so the door seals and latches
  • Brickmould or exterior trim and interior casing
  • Floor protection at the door and photos of the finished door in your job folder

How it is priced: per door

Quoted in writing from your photos, with a reply within one business day. What moves the number:

  • Woodgrain series and factory stain vs. smooth skin for paint
  • Glass: solid panel, small lite, full lite, decorative or triple-pane
  • Sidelites or a transom with the door
  • Multipoint lock vs. a standard lockset and deadbolt
  • Rot at the sill, jamb bottoms or subfloor
  • Siding, stone or brick at the opening and how the outside is trimmed

Send a photo of the door inside and out and one of the sill. Lead time depends on the brand and is written on the quote.

How long it takes

One Signet door in a sound opening: about a day on site; a door with sidelites can take most of a day or more. The order is placed after you sign the quote, and the old door stays in until the new one arrives.

Situations and options

Cherry, Mahogany or Oak grain

The classic stained-door looks. Each series has seven factory stains, so you can match the door to the inside trim or the porch ceiling.

Fir or Knotty Alder grain

A straighter grain in Fir and a rustic, knotty look in Knotty Alder. Common on Craftsman fronts, lake places and farmhouse-style houses.

Smooth skin for paint

Signet also comes in a smooth skin in paint colors. Pick it when you want a painted front door with the same foam core and glass options.

ProVia Signet Fiberglass Entry Door Replacement, Made to Order: questions, answered

What woodgrains does the ProVia Signet door come in?

ProVia lists five Signet woodgrain series: Cherry, Mahogany, Oak, Fir and Knotty Alder, each in seven stain finishes. A smooth skin for paint is also offered. We go over the series and stains with you at the free in-home estimate, at your door, before anything is ordered.

Is a ProVia Signet door worth it over a standard fiberglass door?

Signet costs more than a basic fiberglass door. What you get is a finer molded grain, ProVia's factory stain process, more glass and size choices, and a door built to your opening rather than picked from stock sizes. If the front door is the first thing people see, that is usually where the difference shows.

Does the Signet door come pre-stained?

Yes, it can be ordered factory stained with ProVia's DuraFuse process, which ProVia backs with a finish warranty; confirm the current terms on the order. A factory finish saves a return visit and keeps the finish off your porch. If you want a smooth Signet painted on site, painting is quoted as a separate line, or leave it primed and paint it yourself.

Can a Signet door have sidelites and a transom?

Yes. Signet is ProVia's most customizable door, with sidelites, transoms, decorative and privacy glass and made-to-order sizes. We measure the whole opening, not just the door, so the new unit fits the existing rough opening or we tell you what has to change.

Where can I buy a ProVia Signet door?

ProVia sells through dealers and building-supply distributors, not home centers. We order through ABC Supply, which lists ProVia among its entry door makers; we confirm the Signet line with our ABC branch before the quote is final. We are an installer, not a ProVia dealer.

How long does a ProVia Signet door take?

Because every Signet door is made to order, the lead time depends on the brand and is written on the quote. The install itself is about a day for a single door in a sound opening. The house is closed and locked at the end of the install day.
