Andersen 200 Series Gliding Patio Door Replacement, Supplied
You want an Andersen slider without paying for the 400 Series. The 200 Series has two gliding doors, and the right one depends on whether you want wood inside.

Andersen 200 Series gliding patio door replacement means one of two Andersen doors: the all-vinyl Perma-Shield gliding door or the Narroline gliding door with a pine interior. JMB Builders measures your opening in person, orders the door through ABC Supply, removes the old slider and installs the new one across the Twin Cities metro and north to St. Cloud. Priced per door. Send photos for a reply within one business day, or book a free in-home estimate.
- Priced per door, Andersen door included
- Perma-Shield or Narroline gliding door
- Measured in person before ordering

The 200 Series is Andersen's streamlined wood line: the most popular sizes, a short color list, and a lower price than the 400 Series. For patio doors it has two gliding doors. The Perma-Shield gliding door is clad in vinyl on both faces, so the inside matches the outside. The Narroline gliding door is wood with a Perma-Shield vinyl exterior and comes in two- or four-panel layouts, with several interior finishes including pine you can stain.
Both are dual-pane only. Andersen offers Low-E4, Low-E4 SmartSun and the HeatLock room-side coating, and for a Minnesota slider the coating is where the winter numbers come from. Gliding doors come in six exterior colors from White, Sandtone, Canvas, Terratone, Dark Bronze and Black. Panels ride on adjustable ball-bearing rollers with a weatherstripped interlock.
The 200 Series is on the Andersen list at Minnesota ABC Supply branches, which is where we order. Before anything is ordered we measure the frame and the rough opening in person, confirm which panel slides, and check the sill and floor for soft spots. The door is on site before the old one comes out, and the opening is closed and locked the same day.

- Perma-Shield vinyl door vs. Narroline wood door
- Two-panel vs. four-panel Narroline layout
- Glass coating, grilles and exterior color
- Rot in the subfloor, rim or framing once the old slider is out
- Siding or brick at the opening and how the outside is trimmed
- Deck, walkout or ground-level door, and access to it
- Painting or staining the new casing, quoted as a separate line
Send photos of the door from both sides and the floor at the sill. Lead time depends on the brand and is written on the quote.
How long it takes
One 200 Series gliding door in a sound opening: about a day on site. Sill or subfloor repair can add a day. The order is placed after you sign the quote.

Situations and options
Perma-Shield gliding door
Vinyl-clad inside and out, so there is nothing to finish and the interior matches the exterior color. A fit for a kitchen or a walkout where the door takes splashes, dog traffic and wet boots.
Narroline gliding door
Wood with a Perma-Shield vinyl exterior, in two- or four-panel layouts and several interior finishes. Pick it when you want stained or painted wood on the room side to match your trim.
Hinged inswing instead
The 200 Series also has a hinged inswing patio door with fiberglass panels, white inside. If you want a door that swings rather than slides, we can quote it the same way.
Andersen 200 Series Gliding Patio Door Replacement, Supplied: questions, answered
What is the difference between the Andersen 200 Series Perma-Shield and Narroline gliding doors?
The Perma-Shield gliding door is clad in vinyl on both sides, and its interior matches the exterior color. The Narroline gliding door is wood with a vinyl exterior, comes in two- or four-panel layouts, and offers several interior finishes including stainable pine. Both are dual-pane with Andersen's Low-E4 glass family.
Is the Andersen 200 Series patio door good for a Minnesota winter?
It is a dual-pane door, so order it with Low-E4 and the HeatLock room-side coating to get the better winter numbers Andersen publishes. Check the NFRC label on the unit you pick for its U-factor. How the door is set matters too: a sill pan, flashing, foam and sealant keep the cold out at the frame.
What colors does the Andersen 200 Series gliding door come in?
Andersen lists six exterior colors for the 200 Series gliding patio doors: White, Sandtone, Canvas, Terratone, Dark Bronze and Black. The Perma-Shield door's interior matches its exterior, and the Narroline door has several interior options. We confirm the color on the order before it is placed.
Should I get the 200 Series or the 400 Series Andersen patio door?
The 200 Series keeps the price down with fewer sizes, colors and glass choices. The 400 Series Frenchwood doors add more colors, hardware finishes and options. If your opening is a common size and you like the 200 Series colors, it usually does the job; we can quote both lines side by side.
Where do you get Andersen 200 Series doors?
We order them through ABC Supply, and the 200 Series is on the Andersen list at Minnesota ABC branches. We are an installer, not an Andersen dealer. If you already bought an Andersen door yourself, our labor-only page covers that.
How long does an Andersen 200 Series patio door take to arrive and install?
Lead time depends on the brand and is written on the quote. Install is about a day for one door in a sound opening, longer if the subfloor or rim under the old slider is soft. The old door does not come out until the new one is on site.
