ReliaBilt is what Lowe's puts its own name on: six-panel steel entry doors, molded hollow-core interior prehungs and slabs, bifold and bypass closet doors, storm doors, and a line of vinyl patio sliders and windows. It is stock, it is cheap, and it is in the store today in the common sizes. Homeowners across the Twin Cities buy it for rental turnovers, garage service doors, a whole floor of bedroom doors, and then need someone to hang it. We do that as a labor-only job. We are an independent installer, not a Lowe's installer and not a ReliaBilt program; the store sells it, we install it.
A stock door is not a worse door, but it is a door built to a price, and the install has to make up for it. A ReliaBilt steel entry unit wants a sill pan, foam, long hinge screws and a careful sill adjustment so the sweep seals; the thin steel skin will show any twist in the jamb. An interior prehung wants shims behind every hinge, not just the top one, and a strike set so the latch catches without slamming. A storm door wants a plumb hinge rail on solid trim. None of that is in the box.
Check three things on the label before you leave the store: handing, jamb width for your wall, and the rough-opening size. Send us a photo of the tag and a photo of your old door and we confirm all three, no charge.

ReliaBilt steel entry doors
Six-panel and half-lite steel prehungs, the usual pick for a garage service door or a back door. Set on a sill pan, hinge jamb plumbed, long screws into the stud, foam, sealant, brickmould, lock hardware, casing inside.
ReliaBilt interior prehungs and slabs
Molded hollow-core doors in two-panel, six-panel and flat styles. Prehungs set with even reveals and cased; slabs mortised and bored to fit your old jambs. Whole-floor swaps are the common job.
ReliaBilt bifold and bypass closet doors
Track mounted level to the header, pivots and guides set, panels hung and adjusted so they meet in the middle and clear the carpet. Trim added when the old opening had none.
ReliaBilt storm doors
Assembled on site, handing set, hinge rail screwed plumb into solid trim, latch and top rails fitted, expander cut to the sill, closer and handle adjusted. Trim repair first if the old storm door pulled it apart.

Do you install ReliaBilt storm doors?
Yes. The ReliaBilt storm doors on the Lowe's rack assemble like any aluminum storm door: handing set at assembly, hinge rail mounted plumb on the entry door trim, latch and top rails fitted, bottom expander cut to the sill, then the closer and handle set so it latches without slamming. Two to three hours on a square opening. If the trim under the old storm door is rotted, we repair that first and quote it from your photos.
Is a ReliaBilt steel entry door installed differently than a fiberglass one?
The steps are the same: sill pan, plumb hinge jamb, long screws, foam, seal, hardware, casing. What changes is the care with the frame. A steel skin is thin, so a twisted jamb shows as a door that touches the weatherstrip on one corner and gaps at the other. We set the jamb straight, not just plumb, and check the seal all the way around before we case it. Steel also dents, so keep it in the wrap until we open it.
What comes in the box with a ReliaBilt prehung door?
An entry unit comes with the jamb, hinges, sill, weatherstrip and usually brickmould, but no lockset, deadbolt, sill pan, flashing, foam or interior casing. An interior prehung comes with the jamb and hinges and nothing else; no knob, no casing, sometimes no stop moulding. Closet doors come with the track and hardware on most kits. Buy the knobs and locks with the door so the finish matches and everything is on site install day; we bring the rest.
Can you install ReliaBilt bifold or bypass closet doors too?
Yes. Bifolds get a track screwed level into the header, pivot brackets at the floor and top, and the panels hung and adjusted so they fold flat and meet evenly. Bypass doors get a double track, the panels hung on rollers and a floor guide set so they do not swing. If the old opening was never trimmed, we case it at the same time. Closet doors are priced per opening like any other door.
How many ReliaBilt doors can you hang in one day?
Interior prehungs: four to eight, depending on how much casing and how square the openings are. Steel entry doors: about two, one in the morning and one after lunch. A storm door takes two to three hours. A rental turnover with a mix of a few interior doors, a back door and a storm door is usually one long day, and the per-door price on a set like that is well below one door on its own.
