How much does interior door installation cost in the Twin Cities?

Should I replace just the door slab or the whole pre-hung unit?
If your jambs are square, undamaged, and you like the existing casing, a slab swap saves money. If jambs are worn, painted shut, or out of square — common in older Twin Cities homes — a pre-hung unit gives a better, longer-lasting result. We'll assess each opening honestly at the estimate.
Are solid-core doors worth it?
For bedrooms, bathrooms, and offices — almost always yes. Solid-core doors block noticeably more sound, feel more substantial, and elevate the whole house. Many clients do solid-core in bedrooms and baths and standard doors in closets to balance the budget.
Can you fix a door that sticks or won't latch?
Yes. Sticking, rubbing, and latch misalignment usually come down to hinges, seasonal movement, or a jamb that's shifted — all fixable without replacing the door. We handle repairs as part of larger trim projects and as standalone visits.
Do I need to buy the doors, or can you supply them?
Either way works. Plenty of homeowners pick out their doors at Menards, Home Depot or Lowe's and hire us labor-only; send us the order details before you buy and we'll check the sizes and handing for free.
