- Your paint or stain color, if we are finishing it; either way the crown goes in filled, caulked and primed
- The profile you like, or let us match the trim already in the house
- Crown you have already bought, if you have it (send a photo of the label so we know the profile and footage)

- Wall and ceiling condition — older homes often need extra scribing and fitting
Send a photo of each room from the doorway and one of a corner, tell us the ceiling height, and note any vaulted or angled ceilings. That is enough for a firm per-foot quote.

Can you install crown molding on vaulted or angled ceilings?
Yes. Vaulted and cathedral ceilings require compound transition cuts that trip up a lot of installers — it's some of our favorite work. We'll walk the space during the estimate and show you exactly how the crown will handle each transition.
Do you install MDF or solid wood crown molding?
Both. MDF is a great paint-grade option that's stable and budget-friendly. Solid wood is the right call for stain-grade finishes or high-moisture areas. We'll recommend the right material for each room rather than a one-size-fits-all answer.
How long does crown molding installation take?
A single room is typically done in a day. Whole-home projects usually run a few days depending on linear footage and profile complexity. You'll get a clear schedule with your estimate — and we show up when we say we will.
Can you install crown molding I already bought?
Yes. If you picked up crown at Menards, Home Depot or a lumberyard, we install it labor-only and bring everything else: backing, nails, glue, filler and caulk. Send a photo of the label and tell us the footage you have, and we'll check that it's enough for the room with the waste that coping and miters take. If it's short, we'll tell you what to add before we start.
