ProVia Window Installation, Labor Only — Endure and Aspect

You chose ProVia windows, the order is in or on the way, and you need an installer who will check the sizes and set them right.

Reply within one business day. Or call / text 763-204-2099.

ProVia window installation labor only: you order Endure, Aspect or other ProVia windows through a dealer or distributor, and JMB Builders installs them across the Twin Cities metro. We are an independent installer, not a ProVia dealer. Each ProVia window is made to order for its opening, so we check the order before it is built, then set, flash, foam and trim each window. Priced per window.

  • Priced per window, labor only
  • Endure, Aspect, ecoLite and Aeris
  • Independent installer, not a dealer
New wood casement windows being installed in a stucco and stone wall, ladder against the house

ProVia builds windows and doors to order in Ohio and sells them through dealers and building-supply distributors, not home centers. Homeowners often order the windows and then need an installer. This page covers ProVia windows; ProVia entry and storm doors have their own page.

The lines we see: Endure, ProVia's premium vinyl window with a welded, foam-insulated frame and triple pane glass available; Aspect, the mid-range vinyl line in White, Beige or Sandstone; ecoLite, the economy white vinyl line; and Aeris, a vinyl window with a real wood interior. Endure is made in replacement (pocket) frames and new-construction frames with a nail fin, so the order has to match the opening.

Because every ProVia window is built to the size ordered, a wrong measurement cannot be trimmed to fit on site. We check each line on the order against its opening before it is built. We are an independent installer and make no claims about the product beyond what ProVia publishes. The install is ours: old window out, opening panned and flashed, unit set plumb and square, foamed, sealed and trimmed.

Get a written quote for this job

Three photos and a sentence is enough: a reply within one business day, or ask for a free in-home estimate. Or text the photos to 763-204-2099.

Photos (optional)

Up to 3: one wide shot of the area, one close-up of the opening or trim, one of anything you're unsure about.

How do you want your quote?

Free, no obligation. Every quote is written and itemized, so you can compare it line by line.

What you supply

  • The ProVia windows and the order sheet: line, size, pocket or nail-fin frame, color and glass
  • Photos of each opening, ideally before the order is built
  • Exterior capping or trim preference
  • Interior trim preference and paint or stain color if we finish the trim

What JMB supplies

  • A check of your order against each opening before it is built
  • Removal and haul-away of the old sashes, stops, or the whole window and frame
  • Sill pans, flashing tape, shims, screws, low-expansion foam and exterior sealant
  • Rot repair at the sill or the old frame when we find it, quoted before we continue
  • Exterior capping on an insert, or new trim and siding patched around a fin unit
  • Interior jamb extensions, casing, stool and apron, or drywall returns
  • Sash and lock adjustment so every window opens, locks and seals
  • Photos of every window in your job folder

How it is priced: per window

Quoted in writing from your photos, with a reply within one business day. What moves the number:

  • Pocket replacement frame vs. new-construction frame with a nail fin
  • Window size and style, and triple pane weight on large units
  • Exterior: capping a pocket install vs. patching siding around a fin
  • Interior trim: reuse, new casing and stool, or drywall returns
  • Rot at the sill or the old frame
  • Second-floor openings that need ladders or staging

Send the order sheet and a photo of each window inside and outside before the order is built. Made-to-order sizes cannot be cut down on site.

How long it takes

Pocket replacements: four to six windows a day. Nail-fin units: two to four a day, fewer with triple pane or large units.

Situations and options

Endure

ProVia's premium vinyl window, in pocket replacement and nail-fin frames, with triple pane glass available. Triple pane adds weight, so large units are set by two people.

Aspect

Mid-range vinyl in White, Beige or Sandstone with Low-E argon glass on a warm-edge spacer. Installed as a replacement or new-construction frame.

ecoLite

ProVia's economy white vinyl line, often ordered for rentals and budget whole-house jobs. Same install care as the higher lines.

Aeris

Vinyl outside with a prefinished wood interior. The wood interior is handled and trimmed with care so it is not marked during the install.

ProVia Window Installation, Labor Only — Endure and Aspect: questions, answered

Who installs ProVia windows I bought?

JMB Builders installs ProVia windows homeowners have already ordered, labor only, across the Twin Cities metro. We are an independent licensed Minnesota contractor, not a ProVia dealer. We check the order, remove the old window, pan and flash the opening, set and foam the unit and trim it. Priced per window, with a reply within one business day.

How is a ProVia Endure window installed?

In a pocket replacement frame, the old sashes and stops come out, the old frame is checked and squared, and the Endure is set plumb, fastened, foamed and capped outside. In a nail-fin frame, the old window comes out to the framing, the opening gets a sill pan and flashing tape, the fin is fastened and sealed, and the inside gets jamb extensions and casing.

Do you install ProVia Aspect windows?

Yes. Aspect is ProVia's mid-range vinyl window, in replacement and new-construction frames. It installs the same way as Endure: order checked, opening panned and flashed, unit set plumb and square, foamed and trimmed.

Why does a ProVia window order need to be checked before it is built?

ProVia builds each window to the size on the order. A window built too big will not go in, and one built too small leaves a gap that has to be built out. We measure each opening against the order sheet before it is built.

Do you install ProVia doors as well as windows?

Yes. ProVia entry and storm doors are covered on their own page. When the windows and a door arrive together, they can be installed on the same trip.

What trim do you put around a new ProVia window?

A full-frame vinyl window sits at the outside of the wall, so the inside needs jamb extensions to bring it flush with the drywall, then casing, stool and apron or drywall returns. New trim goes in primed and caulked. Painting is quoted as a separate line — or leave it primed and caulked and paint it yourself.
