Therma-Tru was founded in 1962, is long based in Maumee, Ohio, and is owned by Fortune Brands Innovations. Its current catalogs list six door collections: Classic-Craft, Fiber-Classic, Smooth-Star and Pulse in fiberglass, plus Profiles and Traditions in steel. The separate Veris Collection (2026 catalog) covers aluminum-framed glass entry, pivot, folding and sliding doors. For 2026 Therma-Tru added a three-quarter-lite, flush-glazed Shaker door and sidelites to the Fiber-Classic and Smooth-Star lines. Every door is sold as a complete system: slab, frame, weatherstripping, sill and glazing engineered together. Fiberglass doors use a polyurethane foam core that Therma-Tru rates at up to four times the insulating R-value of wood.
For a Minnesota entry that sees freeze-thaw cycles, wind-driven snow and hard sun, fiberglass resists the warping, rotting, rusting and denting that wear out wood and light steel doors. Therma-Tru doors are sold through lumberyards and millwork distributors, and Lowe's carries the Benchmark by Therma-Tru line. JMB Builders is an independent installer, not a Therma-Tru dealer: we measure the opening, order or install the door you choose, and install it as a complete system across the Twin Cities metro.
