Veris is a separate Therma-Tru collection of aluminum-framed glass doors, not a fiberglass line. It includes hinged entry doors (single and French, expandable with sidelites and transoms), pivot entry doors that turn on top and bottom pivots, folding glass doors, and narrow-stile sliding glass door systems. It is current, with a 2026 catalog and its own dealer locator at veriscollection.com. Pivot doors are the largest panels Therma-Tru makes, up to five feet wide by ten feet tall, and the collection won a 2025 Product Innovation Award from Architectural Products.
The frames are aluminum with a thermal break that separates interior and exterior metal to cut heat transfer, fitted with stainless steel and polymer components and glazed with 1-inch insulated, argon-filled Low-E glass. This is the line for a light-filled modern entry or an indoor-outdoor wall opening onto a deck or patio.
Aluminum is not the natural first choice for a Minnesota entry, so the thermal break and the glass package matter here; we order it with Low-E argon glass and pay extra attention to the sill pan and interior air seal.

Insulation and energy performance in Minnesota
Veris insulates through its glass and a thermal break in the aluminum frame rather than a foam-core slab, so it will not match a fiberglass door on frame insulation. For Minnesota, keep to the argon-filled Low-E glazing, choose the hinged or pivot entry over a large folding wall on an exposed side, and let us seal the frame carefully to the opening.
Glass packages
- 1-inch insulated glass units, argon-filled, with Low-E coating
- Large single lites in hinged, pivot, folding and sliding configurations
Frame and sash
Extruded aluminum frames with a thermal break separating the interior and exterior aluminum, plus stainless steel and polymer hardware components that Therma-Tru describes as virtually maintenance-free.
Ratings
Therma-Tru does not publish a single U-factor for the collection; performance depends on the configuration and glass ordered, so ask for the NFRC label for the specific door.
What the install adds
On install day we set the frame on a sill pan, tape the frame to the housewrap, fill the rough-opening gap with low-expansion foam, and finish the interior with backer rod and sealant so the air barrier is continuous. Exterior joints get backer rod and a quality sealant, and we adjust the sill and strike so the weatherstrip compresses evenly all the way around.
