Manufactured homes use windows built for manufactured homes. They are sized differently from site-built windows, and the walls are thinner. Most are held one of two ways: by clips or a clamp ring that squeezes the wall from inside and out, or by a flange screwed to the outside wall and covered with trim. A standard replacement window made for a stick-built house does not fit the opening or the wall depth without reframing.
So the first job is finding out what you have: the window size, the mounting type and the wall thickness. Mobile home windows are sold by mobile home supply stores, some lumberyards and online sellers, and we can check your order against your photos before you buy, or order for you. The wrong mounting type is the most common mistake.
On install day the old window comes out, the opening is checked for soft wall at the bottom corners, rot is repaired, and the new unit is set in sealant, fastened the way its maker says and trimmed. We work in parks and on private lots across the north metro and the rest of the Twin Cities.

Can I put regular windows in a mobile home?
Not without reframing. Mobile home windows are a different size and construction than site-built windows, and the walls are thinner. A standard window needs a different opening and wall depth. The simple fix is a window made for manufactured homes.
Where do I buy mobile home replacement windows?
Mobile home supply stores, some lumberyards and online sellers carry them. Buy the same size and the same mounting type as the old window. Send us the listing and photos before you order and we check it, or we order the windows for you.
How do I know what type of mobile home window I have?
Look at how it is held in. If you see clips or a ring around the inside frame, it is a clamp-type window. If the inside has no clips and the outside has a flange screwed through it, it is a flanged window. A photo of each side tells us.

What if the wall under my mobile home window is soft?
Water got in at the old window. The rotted wall at the bottom of the opening is cut out and rebuilt before the new window goes in, or the new one will leak and sag. We quote it from your photos.
Can you install mobile home windows I already bought?
Yes, labor only. We supply the sealant and fasteners and set them to the maker's instructions. If a window is the wrong size or mount, we tell you before the old one comes out.
