Window setting on a new house sits in a gap. The window company delivers to the driveway. The framer would rather be framing the next one. The siding crew needs every unit in and flashed before they start. A builder with three houses going at once needs a crew that shows up the day the wrap is on, sets every window and patio door, and leaves the openings ready for siding and drywall.
That is the scope we run. We take the window schedule and the delivery, check every rough opening against the unit before it is lifted, and set them in order: sill pan or pan tape, side flashing lapped over the pan, the unit shimmed plumb and square with the sash checked for even reveal, fins fastened on the manufacturer's spacing, head flashing lapped under the wrap, and low-expansion foam at the interior gap. Sliding patio doors get a full sill pan and a check that the panel rolls and locks before we leave.
We already subcontract installs for metro window companies, so the crew knows what a warranty inspector looks for. Every opening gets a photo of the flashing before it is covered, in the job folder, so a question a year later has an answer. Interior trim-out is a separate package if you want it from the same crew.

Situations and options
Nail-fin windows on house wrap
The standard new-construction set: pan at the sill, side tape over the fin, head tape under the wrap flap, fins fastened at the manufacturer's spacing, foam inside. We photograph the flashing before the siding crew covers it.
Sliding and hinged patio doors
Set on a full sill pan with the subfloor checked flat, shimmed at the hinge or lock side so the panel meets the jamb evenly, foamed, and cycled to confirm it rolls, latches and locks before we leave.
Mulled and large units
Twins, triples and big picture windows are set with two people and checked at the mull for straightness. We confirm the rough opening before the unit is carried up, because a mulled unit that does not fit is a two-person problem.
Windows plus interior trim-out
The same crew comes back after drywall for jamb extensions, casing, stools and aprons, or drywall returns, priced per opening as its own package. One sub for the whole window scope.

How do you flash a new construction window?
In the order the water needs: a pan or pan tape at the sill lapped over the wrap below, the unit set and fastened, side tape over the fins, and head tape lapped under the flap of house wrap above the opening so anything running down the wall goes over the window, not behind it. We follow the window manufacturer's instructions where they differ, since that is what their warranty inspector reads. The interior gap is filled with low-expansion foam.
What if a rough opening is framed wrong?
We check every opening against the unit before it is carried to the wall. An opening that is a little big gets packed; one that is out of square gets shimmed and the unit set square inside it. One that is too small or too far off is texted to the super with a photo before anyone cuts anything, so the framer fixes it and we set the window on the next pass rather than forcing it.
Can the same crew do the patio doors?
Yes, and it is priced as its own line per door. A sliding or hinged patio door gets a full sill pan, a check that the subfloor is flat under the sill, shims at the jambs so the panel meets evenly, foam, and a cycle test so it rolls, latches and locks before we leave. Doors are the opening most likely to leak on a new house, so they get the most attention.
How fast can you set the windows on a house?
A typical single-family house with one patio door takes a two-person crew one to two days, set the day after delivery. On a subdivision we run the houses in the order your framing schedule has them, so the siding crew is never waiting on windows. Send the schedule and we tell you which days are ours.
Do you also do the interior window trim after drywall?
We can. Interior trim-out is a separate per-opening package from the same crew: jamb extensions, casing, stools and aprons, or clean drywall returns if that is the spec. Booking both means one sub is responsible for the window from the flashing to the casing, which is simpler when a warranty question comes up.
