VistaGrande is Masonite's glass-forward fiberglass collection. Flush glazing removes the bulky plastic lite frame, giving 18 percent more visible glass and cleaner lines, while stile-and-rail feature lines and solid hardwood square edges keep the look of a real wood door.
Designs run from half-lite and three-quarter-lite to full-lite in a smooth or fir texture, with insulated glass on a warm-edge spacer, grid options, or glass with mini-blinds sealed between the panes. Masonite covers the slab with a limited lifetime warranty for the original owner.
It transforms dark entryways and suits modern and transitional homes; it is also one of the most common Masonite doors on the shelf at The Home Depot.

Insulation and energy performance in Minnesota
Glass is the weak point of any entry door, and VistaGrande is mostly glass, so in Minnesota order every lite in Low-E (Low-E argon where offered) and consider the half-lite or three-quarter-lite over the full-lite on the coldest exposure. The polyurethane-core slab and Performance Door System seals handle the rest.
Glass packages
- Clear or Low-E insulated glass with warm-edge spacers
- Grid options by design
- Insulated glass with mini-blinds sealed between the panes
Frame and sash
Fiberglass facings with solid hardwood square edges over a polyurethane foam core (about five times the insulation of wood, per Masonite); flush-glazed glass with no plastic lite frame; Performance Door System frame, sill, weatherstrip, and corner seals.
Ratings
Masonite lists ENERGY STAR certified exterior doors, and Home Depot listings show Low-E VistaGrande units; certification depends on lite size and glass package, so ask for a certified configuration. Per-design U-factors are not published on the collection page.
What the install adds
On install day we set the unit on a sill pan, tape the frame to the housewrap, fill the jamb and head gaps with low-expansion foam, and seal the interior with backer rod and sealant so the air seal is continuous. Outside, a sealant joint at the brickmould keeps water out of the wall, and we shim and adjust the sill so the weatherstrip compresses evenly all the way around.
