Thermo-Fit is Thermo-Tech's replacement window series. Every window is built to order and custom fit to the existing opening, which matters in replacement work where older openings are rarely square or a stock size. Thermo-Tech describes the line as designed for cost-saving energy efficiency, safety and security in the climate it is built in.
The standard glass is double-strength, high-performance Low-E with argon fill. Upgrades run to LoE-366 argon glass and the Energy Guard triple-pane packages, plus obscure glass for bathrooms and tempered safety glass where code calls for it. Grids are flat, between the glass, in colors matched to the frame.
For a Twin Cities replacement, we recommend Energy Guard triple-pane on north and west exposures and bedrooms, and LoE-272 or LoE-366 argon double-pane where budget matters; either way the frame is built at a factory a day trip away.

Insulation and energy performance in Minnesota
Thermo-Fit windows start with double-strength Low-E argon glass and can be ordered up to Energy Guard triple-pane, which raises the glass R-value well above double-pane. For a Minnesota replacement, order Energy Guard on the cold sides of the house and LoE-272 argon double-pane elsewhere.

What the install adds
On install day we set the unit on a sill pan, tape the nailing fin or frame to the housewrap, fill the rough-opening gap with low-expansion foam, and finish the interior with backer rod and sealant so the air barrier is continuous. Exterior joints get backer rod and a quality sealant, so the rating on the label is what you feel in the room.
